NB Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Residential Deputy manager for our client who are a large provider of Children's services across the UK. This position will be based within a Children's Residential Home.
The role of the Residential Deputy Manager will be to assist in leading a team of up to fifteen staff members in meeting the needs of vulnerable young people. These young people will require high levels of supervision and support in terms of developing skills for independent living, support with education, training or employment, emotional support and guidance. The role will also involve the successful candidate providing shift cover during a working week and if applicable at times of staff illness, annual leave etc.
This role will best suit an individual who has a minimum of one years experience as a senior residential worker of working with vulnerable young people or looked after children in a care setting.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or higher/equivalent and be willing to complete a level 5 diploma in leadership & management within 12 months of taking up the post, you should also be experienced in supervising, guiding and supporting other members of staff, managing budgets, completing detailed analytical reports and have a sound working knowledge of The Children’s Act 1989, The quality standards, Children’s homes regulations 2015, Working Together 2010/13 and all other current legislation that is needed to operate successfully at a 'Good’/’Outstanding’ level as dictated by OFSTED.
To be considered for this role you must be over 22 years old and hold a valid driving licence.
